New England Patriots Release Offensive Tackle One Month After Re-Signing

Despite being tendered as a restricted free agent last month, the New England Patriots have released offensive tackle Yodney Cajuste.

Cajuste, who missed his first two seasons due to injuries, had become a solid depth option for the Patriots, starting in three games and appearing in 10 overall in 2022 despite missing seven games due to thumb and calf injuries.

The Patriots' recent acquisitions of Calvin Anderson and Riley Reiff likely influenced the decision to release him.

Nevertheless, Cajuste's talent and physical attributes make it likely that he will find another opportunity with another team.
