The move clears $2.743M in cap space.
Cajuste, who missed his first two seasons due to injuries, had become a solid depth option for the Patriots, starting in three games and appearing in 10 overall in 2022 despite missing seven games due to thumb and calf injuries.
The Patriots' recent acquisitions of Calvin Anderson and Riley Reiff likely influenced the decision to release him.

Nevertheless, Cajuste's talent and physical attributes make it likely that he will find another opportunity with another team.
The move frees up $2.74 million in cap space for the Patriots.
