NFL Rumors: Tampa Bay Buccaneers Defensive Back Expected To Get Massive Contract

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers put together one of the best teams of the modern era when they recruited Tom Brady to take them to their second Super Bowl in franchise history, and while plenty of attention goes to their big names, they have plenty of home grown players that have made massive contributions.

After signing a four-year, $7.3 million rookie deal before the 2020 campaign, young defensive back Antoine Winfield Jr. is now reportedly in line for a massive new contract, as he has now been projected to get a deal of four-years, worth up to $72 million.

That comes from PFF's Brad Spielberger, and while the team could potentially let him play out his rookie deal and franchise tag him, it appears the rising star is set to get paid in a big way after a promising start to his career.
