Report: Chicago Bears Likely To Release Disgruntled Wide Receiver

The Chicago Bears came into the 2023 NFL season full of optimism after landing two top wide receivers and plenty of defensive help over the past 12 months, but unfortunately, it hasn't come together well with one of those acquisitions not endearing himself to the Bears fans or coaching staff.

The latter would be Chase Claypool, who the Bears traded the No. 32 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft for, and now, after another disappointing start to the season with plenty of issues off the field, it appears his time in the Windy City could be done.

The 25-year old receiver was a standout for the Steelers, but in recent years, his antics off the field have become more prominent, and unless he can turn it around, his career may be in genuine jeopardy, with teams around the league unlikely to take too many more chances on him.
