NFL Rumors: Bold Trade Idea Links Dolphins' Tyreek Hill To Desert Team

Could Tyreek Hill be headed to the desert?

According to Alex Kay of Bleacher Report, the Arizona Cardinals may be the surprise contender to land the Miami Dolphins’ superstar receiver in what would be one of the most shocking trades of the 2025 NFL offseason. Hill, who turns 31 this year, is coming off a down year and showing signs of tension with the Dolphins, making a trade more realistic than ever.

Hill Could Ignite Cardinals Offense

Kay's proposed deal sends Hill to Arizona in exchange for 2026 third- and fourth-round picks, a modest return for a player who once commanded a blockbuster haul. But after failing to reach 1,000 receiving yards and missing the Pro Bowl for the first time in his career, Hill’s stock has dipped. More importantly, Miami could save nearly $15 million in cap space by moving on. For a team with just $14 million in current cap room, that’s a tempting trade-off as they pivot toward a possible rebuild.

The Cardinals, meanwhile, have already improved their defense and are now eyeing upgrades on offense. Marvin Harrison Jr. is their franchise cornerstone, but adding Hill would stretch defenses and create explosive mismatches. Hill could unlock Kyler Murray’s deep-ball game while taking pressure off Harrison Jr., a move that could turn Arizona into a top-10 offense overnight.

Risks and Rewards for Arizona

The potential fit is tantalizing, but not without red flags. Hill’s off-field controversies and locker room reputation could clash with the culture head coach Jonathan Gannon is building. Plus, his $27 million cap hit is steep for a team that’s still in the early stages of a rebuild. But the upside? Game-breaking speed, veteran presence, and a legit shot at shaking up the NFC West.
