NFL Rumors: One Team Has Reached Out To Raiders About Trade For Maxx Crosby

Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby reacts during 2025 game.

The Dallas Cowboys have made inquiries to the Las Vegas Raiders about star edge rusher Maxx Crosby, per multiple reports.

It’s due diligence, not a done deal, but it shows Dallas is exploring a splash move before the deadline after shipping out Micah Parsons. Crosby, 28, owns elite production and motor, and his current deal is structured in a way that’s more trade-friendly than many assume.

Why Dallas Called

Dallas’ offense is humming, but the defense lacks a true closer off the edge. Crosby checks every box: four Pro Bowls, double-digit sack pace, strong run defense, and closer chops that fit January football.

With cap flexibility and extra first-rounders in hand, the Cowboys can credibly chase a top-tier rusher without gutting their core.

What It Would Take

The Raiders would need a haul to move their defensive cornerstone, likely think a first-round pick plus additional capital or a young, cost-controlled starter.

Unless Vegas leans into a reset, a deal likely materializes only if the price eclipses market norms.
