Titans Cornerback L'Jarius Sneed Indicted By Grand Jury
Surveillance video tied to the L’Jarius Sneed indictment shows the Tennessee Titans cornerback driving a Lamborghini Urus at a suburban Dallas dealership and nearby gas station minutes before an alleged shooting in December 2024.
Sneed, 28, has been indicted by a Dallas County grand jury on a misdemeanor charge of failing to report a felony aggravated assault, a Class A offense that carries a possible fine of up to $4,000, up to one year in jail, or both. He has also been sued in civil court, with two men seeking at least $1 million in damages over the alleged incident.
Sneed indictment tied to surveillance video and lawsuit
According to footage shared with the Associated Press by attorney Levi McCathern, who represents plaintiffs Christian Nshimiyimana and Avi Ahmed, Sneed is seen arriving at the dealership on crutches at 3:22 p.m., exiting the Lamborghini and walking past the two men before briefly entering the building.
Separate surveillance from a nearby gas station places Sneed at the pump and then returning to the same vehicle while Nshimiyimana and Ahmed were inside the store. Minutes later, the lawsuit alleges that shots were fired at the men as they sat in a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon on the lot.
Video from the scene shows a vehicle driving past, four loud pops, and an arm extended from the passenger-side window before the car accelerates away.

A probable cause affidavit from the Carrollton Police Department states that dealership employees identified Sneed after Ahmed asked about two men he had seen earlier, and that investigators confirmed his identity from surveillance at multiple locations.
The affidavit says Sneed was the only person seen entering and exiting the driver’s seat of the Lamborghini, including at the gas station roughly eight minutes before the shots were allegedly fired. While no one was struck, bullets reportedly hit the Mercedes and a nearby building.
Another man, Tekonzae Williams, who was reportedly in the vehicle wirth Sneed, has been indicted on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in connection with the same incident. McCathern said his clients were “very lucky to be alive” and called the indictments an early step toward what they hope will be justice.
Titans, NFL monitoring L’Jarius Sneed indictment and future
The Titans have acknowledged the legal matter in multiple statements, saying they remain in contact with NFL security and will not comment further during the ongoing investigation. Interim head coach Mike McCoy and general manager Mike Borgonzi have declined to address specifics, while league discipline remains a possibility regardless of how the criminal case proceeds.
The NFL does not require a conviction before imposing fines or suspensions under its personal conduct policy.

On the field, Sneed is back on injured reserve with a quadriceps injury for the second consecutive year in Tennessee.
He played only five games in 2024 after arriving from the Kansas City Chiefs via trade and signing a four-year, $76.4 million extension that briefly made him one of the highest-paid cornerbacks in the league. He has appeared in seven games this season but is not eligible to return from IR until late November, and there is no firm timetable for his comeback.
