NFL Rumors: Maxx Crosby Done With Raiders

Las Vegas Raiders edge rusher Maxx Crosby reacts before 2025 game.

Maxx Crosby might have reached the end of the road in Las Vegas.

FOX Sports insider Jay Glazer said he believes Crosby is “done” with the Las Vegas Raiders and tied it back to the late-season decision to shut him down, with Crosby reportedly not wanting to sit through another rebuild.

With the Raiders staring at a reset, the league-wide assumption is that if Crosby truly wants out, the market will be enormous and the price tag will be painful for whoever calls first.

Maxx Crosby trade buzz is turning into real smoke

Crosby is still in his prime and still producing. In 2025, he logged 10.0 sacks in 15 games, and he has been a multi-time Pro Bowler and All-Pro level edge for years.

That profile is exactly why Glazer’s report will have teams scrambling this offseason. Contenders do not often get a shot at a pass rusher with Crosby’s motor, durability track record, and week-to-week impact.

Mike Vrabel angle adds another layer to Crosby rumors

A very interesting part of the whole ordeal is the Mike Vrabel connection.

Dianna Russini said Crosby wants to play for Vrabel, which immediately dragged the Super Bowl competing New England Patriots into the conversation and gave the story a “destination” angle instead of just generic trade noise.

Whether that becomes formal with a request or stays informal leverage, the direction is pretty obvious that Crosby is chasing a real shot at winning now, and teams with a strong culture pitch will be at the front of the line.
