He ran routes, caught passes, and submitted to a full physical.
And by all accounts, he looked good.
ESPN's Jordan Raanan reported the workout was "impressive" enough to turn heads inside the front office, with Giants legend Carl Banks noting on social media that Beckham was running consistently over 20 mph during his session.
After the Giants concluded their 2026 draft Saturday, head coach John Harbaugh addressed the Beckham situation directly.
"We worked him out. He looked good. We just have to continue conversations," Harbaugh said. "If we do anything, it has to make sense for the Giants. It has to make sense for him. We're not decided on that yet. He's not decided on that yet. Have to see where it is."
Harbaugh added that he planned to speak with Beckham on Tuesday night.
Why This Makes Sense for Both Sides
The connection between Harbaugh and Beckham is well-established.
The two worked together in Baltimore during the 2023 season, when Beckham caught 35 passes for 565 yards and three touchdowns in 14 games for the Ravens.
Harbaugh called him "one of my very favorite people in the world" at the NFL annual meetings in Phoenix, noting that the two text and talk regularly.
That personal relationship is exactly why Beckham focused his offseason attention on New York rather than exploring other options.

"That sounds great," Beckham told sports show host Kay Adams when asked about a Giants return. "If that opportunity presents itself, I would love to do that. I would be excited about that."
The support inside the locker room is also notable.
Multiple sources told ESPN that quarterback Jaxson Dart and wideout Malik Nabers have both informed the team they would welcome the addition.
Nabers went public with it, commenting "Let's play together" on one of Beckham's Instagram posts.
Dart mentioned earlier this offseason that he had already spoken to Beckham about Harbaugh after he was hired.
General manager Joe Schoen has confirmed that Beckham has been on their available free agent list and that the team will not rule out anyone who can help.
The Realistic Expectations
Beckham, 33, is not the player he was during his legendary five-season run with the Giants from 2014 through 2018, when he totaled 390 catches, 5,476 yards, and 44 touchdowns and became one of the most electric receivers in the sport.
He accumulated only nine catches across two seasons with the Dolphins in 2024 before sitting out the entire 2025 season, in part due to a six-game PED suspension.
Any deal would almost certainly come at or near the veteran minimum, making the financial risk for the Giants essentially zero.

The question is whether Beckham can contribute at a level beyond training camp depth.
His receiving corps competition includes Malik Nabers, Darius Slayton, Wan'Dale Robinson, and Jalin Hyatt, which means a path to meaningful snaps likely requires an injury ahead of him on the depth chart.
The call Tuesday night will go a long way toward answering whether any of that translates into a signed contract.
