Jauan Jennings is one of the NFL's biggest free agents still available for the taking with the middle of April here. When noting that the 28-year-old is a high-impact wide receiver coming off a strong 2025 season with the San Francisco 49ers, it should not take him too much longer to land with his new team.
One team that should be watched closely when it comes to Jennings is the New England Patriots. When looking at their roster, it is clear that the Patriots could use another high-impact wide receiver. This is especially so when noting that they released Stefon Diggs this offseason.
If the Patriots signed Jennings, he could thrive playing with a star quarterback like Drake Maye. This pair would have the potential to make some real noise together, so it would not be shocking in the slightest if the Patriots make a serious push for Jennings this offseason.
In 15 games during this past season with the 49ers, Jennings had nine touchdowns, 55 receptions, and 643 receiving yards. With numbers like these, he would certainly be a big pickup for a team looking to boost its offense like the Patriots.
It will now be interesting to see if the Patriots end up being the team that signs Jennings this offseason. The fit looks good on paper.
