Eagles Could Trade Multiple Stars Ahead Of Deadline
Hurts’ Injury Changed The Conversation
The Eagles and Hurts’ agent, Nicole Lynn, announced Monday that he has been diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis and bilateral pulmonary emboli and is out indefinitely, with the statement saying he will miss the remainder of the 2026 season.
He had already been placed on injured reserve the week before with a blood clot, a move that would have kept him out through the Week 10 bye, and Tanner McKee started Sunday’s loss to Carolina and went 26-of-45 for 215 yards and a touchdown.
Barkley missed that game too, and CBS Sports’ John Breech wrote that “it might make sense for this team to have a fire sale before the trade deadline.”
#Eagles QB Jalen Hurts, who is out for the season after several blood clots were revealed in his lungs, has been undergoing tests for days. Before the London game, Hurts was in the hospital until 4 am and did not sleep because sleep was a risk. He played without having slept. https://t.co/avMUeBBOua

Roseman made his stance clear on October 7, after sending center Cam Jurgens and a 2027 seventh-round pick to Baltimore for a 2028 second-round pick and a 2027 fifth-rounder, one day after right tackle Lane Johnson announced his retirement.
He said the Jurgens deal wasn’t a matter of selling on the season and that the Eagles have “a lot on the defensive side of the ball that we want to re-sign and want to extend,” according to NBC Sports.
The Eagles have never been sellers in the Nick Sirianni era, and Philadelphia has been stockpiling picks for the next two drafts.
The Names Being Mentioned
Saquon Barkley is 29, signed an extension that runs through 2028, and has an extensive injury history, and he could fetch a second- or third-round pick plus a Day 3 selection, though the cap ramifications make a trade unlikely.
Landon Dickerson is 28, made three straight Pro Bowls from 2022 through 2024, and is under contract through 2028, but he’s been limited to one game this season by a knee injury, and FanSided pointed out that moving him would leave another hole on an offensive line that has already lost Johnson and Jurgens.
Riq Woolen signed a one-year deal with the Eagles, has a 66.9 PFF grade that ranks 30th among 104 cornerbacks, and is on an expiring contract, and he's almost certain to leave in free agency once Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean become eligible for extensions.
SI’s Ed Kracz listed Moro Ojomo, A.J. Epenesa, Dallas Goedert, and Zack Baun as other candidates, and added Nolan Smith Jr. to the list.
The Eagles’ next move will come before the deadline on November 10.
