Packers, Chargers Linked To Trade With Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles want to move contracts like Landon Dickerson’s while adding veteran help, according to Jason La Canfora, and ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler wrote Wednesday that something is off between the guard and the team.

La Canfora wrote Monday in his Casino.org column that league sources indicate Philadelphia wants to move contracts like Dickerson’s but also hopes to add veteran talent, and Fowler and ESPN’s Matt Bowen ranked Dickerson No. 12 on their trade-candidate list with a 25 percent chance of moving.

ESPN listed the Chargers and Packers as fits.

Tension With The Front Office

Dickerson, one of the holdovers from Jeff Stoutland’s offensive line, recently took what appeared to be a passive-aggressive shot at the front office over his long-term outlook.

Dickerson was asked two weeks before his return whether the team still sees him as its long-term left guard and didn’t give a strong answer.

Fowler added that the Eagles are in position to recoup draft capital and are going younger up front, and La Canfora wrote they hope to “move select contracts while adding pieces to help win the NFC East.”

A Rough Return

Dickerson is 28, made three straight Pro Bowls from 2022 to 2024, and missed five games after a knee injury in Week 1 that landed him on injured reserve.

He was activated October 26 and started Monday’s 38-21 loss to Dallas, allowing four pressures, according to PFF, and he told reporters, “I didn’t play good enough.”

Fowler noted erratic play and injuries could affect his trade value, but that he has Pro Bowl traits, his guarantees run dry next year, and he held up well in his return.

The Eagles are 2-5 with five straight losses and Jalen Hurts out for the season, and they’ve already traded center Cam Jurgens to Baltimore for a 2028 second-round pick and a 2027 fifth after Lane Johnson’s retirement.

The trade deadline is November 10.
