NFL Rumors: Chiefs' Lammons Arrested With Saints' Alvin Kamara

Some unfortunate news from the associated press as Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Chris Lammons became the fourth suspect arrested in connection with an assault at a Las Vegas nightclub. The incident took place on Feb.6 and New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara was also arrested from what transpired at the nightclub.

Lammons turned himself into the authorities on Thursday and was briefly booked into the Clark County Detention Center on suspicion of felony battery resulting in substantial bodily harm and conspiracy to commit battery, this according to police.

The LVPD saw there's a video that shows Kamara and at least three others attack a victim in the wee hours of the morning on Feb.5. Kamara was seen repeatedly punching the man before others came in and stomped on the man while he was on the floor of the casino's rooftop nightclub above the Cromwell hotel-casino.

Kamara has been released on bond and is scheduled to appear in court on March 8. Lammons is also due in court on the same day. Turns out Lammons' attorney will be launching his own investigation into the matter citing that it appears to be an "unplanned and spontaneous altercation" based on his review of the reports. The LVPD continue their investigation and we'll have to wait until next month to learn more about the case.

Not the offseason news the NFL wants headlining major networks.
