NFL Rumors: Cowboys Aiming To Re-Sign Wide Receiver

According to Michael Fisher of SI.com, the Dallas Cowboys are very interested in re-signing wide receiver Michael Gallup.

In his piece, Fisher notes that Gallup is a "priority" for the Cowboys, so they naturally want to keep the 25-year-old around. However, it is also important to note that he also had surgery this month on his torn ACL. Due to the severity of this injury, there's a chance that it will result in him having to miss some time during the regular season. This could impact negotiations, naturally.

Gallup sustained multiple injuries this campaign and was limited to just nine games because of them. On the season, he had two touchdowns, 35 receptions, and 445 total yards.

It will be intriguing to see how the Cowboys handle the Gallup situation from here. If Dallas has it their way, he will be back with the team on a nice new contract.
