NFL Rumors: OBJ Shares Exciting News
The last several weeks have likely been an incredible journey for Odell Beckham Jr. and on Wednesday morning the star wide receiver shared some exciting news!
Through his Instagram, Beckham announced not only that his knee surgery was successful but also that he has become a father as he and his girlfriend Lauren Wood celebrated the arrival of baby Zydn yesterday. In an emotional post, Beckham wrote, "This is as real as it gets" as he continued to explain that he is happily recovering along with his new family; it was abundantly clear that the star receiver is in an incredibly positive mental space and is ready for the work it will take to return to the field.

Looking back, the 2021 season was an absolute roller-coaster for Beckham as he started the year in Cleveland. After a frustrating and slow start with the Browns, relationships deteriorated publicly and Beckham was eventually released when the team couldn't find a viable trade partner before the deadline. It wasn't long before Beckham signed with the Los Angeles Rams but surrounded by a multitude of questions and criticisms about his injury history, productivity and attitude.
Disregarding the negative commentary, Beckham very quickly established himself as a reasonable contributor to the Rams' offense across from fellow receiver Cooper Kupp. Through 8 regular season games with the Rams, Beckham logged 305 yards and 5 touchdowns, but through their 4 playoff games he secured another 288 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Even in the Super Bowl, Beckham was instrumental in establishing the Rams' early lead against the Bengals. Unfortunately, despite however useful Odell was towards the Rams' championship run the team is not necessarily in a great position to justifiably resign him so his future at this point remains unclear.

Heading into the off-season, Beckham is set to become an unrestricted free-agent while recovering from a torn ACL so it will be incredibly interesting to see how this all unfolds. Beckham will likely be available to suitors for a reasonable price and available on the field at some point during the regular season; could he have the same effect to another roster making a championship run late in the season?
