NFL Rumors: Ravens Sign Veteran Defensive Player
The Baltimore Ravens announced on Monday that they have agreed to terms on a 1 year deal with veteran linebacker Vince Biegel.
Ravens announce that they've signed former Dolphin LB Vince Biegel, who was among the tryout players at the team's rookie minicamp. Ravens OLB coach Rob Leonard obviously knows Biegel well. Biegel has played both ILB and OLB

Biegel, 28, will look to provide versatile and experienced depth to the Raven's linebacking core having played both inside and outside linebacker during his time in the league. Originally a fourth round draft pick by the Packers in 2017, Biegel has spent the last 3 seasons in Miami with the Dolphins.
Biegel's most productive season was unquestionably in 2019 where he played in 15 games for the Dolphins and logged 59 combined tackles, 2.5 sacks and an interception. Biegel lost his 2020 season due to a torn Achilles he suffered in training camp and last year he was only active for 5 games where he almost entirely contributed on special teams.

Unfortunately, Biegel has consistently been hampered by injuries throughout his relatively young career and has yet to play a full season since entering the league. If Biegel can stay healthy he should at least have a chance to fill a rotational depth role for the Ravens while also likely securing a spot as a member of their special teams unit.
The Ravens are set to begin their OTA's next week.
