NFL Rumors: Eagles & Steelers Discussed Interesting Trade

The NFL offseason continues and two teams to keep eye on are the Pittsburgh Steelers and Philadelphia Eagles. There's been a ton of rumblings about what other moves the two teams have in store this summer and quarterback Gardner Minshew is a name to circle.

Minshew is a tough sell because he's not a 1-A type of quarterback and is certainly a flight risk if you're looking for him to lead a football team. He's more of a bridge starter who can fill in admirably when needed.

Some see Minshew as a great option to help revive the Steelers fan base after quarterback Ben Roethlisberger retired last season. The 25-year-old is slated to back up Jalen Hurts with the Eagles and some expected him to be moved at the NFL draft and now the chances certainly do go down.

Last season we saw the polarizing QB appear in Week 13 and Week 18, completing 39 of 59 pass attempts for 428 yards, four touchdowns and one interception. Look for the Eagles to continue trade discussions with not only the Steelers, but several other teams looking for depth behind center.
