Buccaneers Veteran Wide Receiver Expected to Play in Week 4

Tom Brady will have some more help in the receiving game in Week 4.

On Monday, Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles told reporters that he expects wide receiver Julio Jones to play in Week 4 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Jones is dealing with a partially torn PCL that has caused him to miss each of the last two games. His return will be a welcome addition for the Buccaneers offense that has had to deal with an extremely depleted receving corps this season.

For instance, Tom Brady, who averaged 42 attempts per game in 2021, is averaging just 34 this season, as the Bucs have really leaned on the run game with their wide receiver room so shallow.

Chris Godwin will still likely be out for Week 4, but Mike Evans will be back from his one-game suspension, and Russell Gage had a nice performance in Week 3.

Through one game, Jone has hauled in three of five targets for 69 receiving yards.
