Miami Dolphins Shut Down Trade Rumours For Tight End

The Miami Dolphins have put together a solid squad ahead of the 2022 NFL season, as the addition of Tyreek Hill makes this offence a genuine threat if Tua Tagovailoa can take a leap forward, but according to reports a few weeks ago, one of his biggest targets, Mike Gesicki was on the trading block. With Hill, Jaylen Waddle and Gesicki as weapons for Tagovailoa, this could be a big time offence that puts up a lot of points, and over the past few days, the Dolphins have come out and shut down any rumours that Gesicki could be shopped, as they believe he's a key part in Miami returning to, and making a deep run through the playoffs.

While Gesicki may not fit the traditional tight end mold, his production over the past few years is impressive nonetheless, as he's managed to put up 2,200 yards and 13 Touchdown's over 4 years in the NFL, while not primarily starting, but given all of this, Miami is going to make him a bigger part of this offence in the coming year.

Sometimes, General Manager's give the media answers that aren't always factual as to not give away their position in negotiations, so there's always a chance that Gesicki ends up moving, but as of right now, he fits the offence around Hill and Waddle perfectly, so it's tough to see the Dolphins moving him. 2022 for this team is all about Tagovailoa taking the next step and leading this team, and the chemistry with his favourite tight end is clear, so if Miami want to be in the best possible spot for their QB and their team to succeed, then it would be wise to keep Gesicki around.
