Saints Star Running Back Absent From Friday Practice

The New Orleans Saints struggled to take down their division rival Falcons in Week 1, and in Week 2 as they look towards another divisional matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, they may be without one of their key weapons. Michael Thomas bounced back with a fantastic game after missing an extended time due to injury over the past two seasons, but star running back Alvin Kamara somewhat disappointed, as he failed to get going the way the Saints need to win big time games.

On Friday ahead of the Buccaneers clash, Kamara was absent from practice, which could leave New Orleans with veteran Mark Ingram taking the majority of the carries in a crucial divisional matchup. With Thomas, Jarvis Landry and Chris Olave on the outside and Jameis Winston slinging it, this team has more than enough firepower to challenge big teams, but if they want to win these games, the electric Kamara will need to be present.

It's unclear what the problem is as of right now, but if New Orleans have any chance in Sunday's big time matchup, they'll need Kamara healthy, and if he can return for that game, we will certainly be looking at one of the games of the week.
