Young Dolphins QB Voted Captain For The First Time

The Miami Dolphins have slowly been improving their roster for years, and while adding Tyreek Hill this off-season was a major addition, the biggest key for this team to finally take the next step forward came in the form of No. 5 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, Tua Tagovailoa. Many criticized the pick at the time, especially after Justin Herbert, picked one spot later, emerged as a star in the NFL immediately, but as of right now, Miami are confident in their QB, and are backing him to take a huge leap in 2022.

The players seem to have this confidence in him too, as today, the former Alabama star was voted in as a team captain ahead of his third season in the NFL, and after all the reports of him growing as a player and a leader came out, this vote of confidence from the players seem to confirm that.

Only time will tell whether Tagovailoa, with weapons like Hill, Jaylen Waddle and Mike Gieseki can take the next step and move onto the playoffs in an incredibly tough and deep AFC, but for right now, the optimism in Miami is higher than it has been in quite some time, and this is just another way to confirm that.
