Ravens Sign Former Star Receiver

The Baltimore Ravens signed free agent wide receiver DeSean Jackson on Tuesday, his agent Drew Rosenhaus told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Jackson, 35, met with the Ravens this past week and it seems the two parties believe they can work together for possibly the remainder of this season. Baltimore in recent weeks has shown signs of difficulty scoring after building early leads and costly turnovers late in games.

Ravens' quarterback Lamar Jackson could use a possible deep threat wideout such as Jackson in certain key situations within ball games.

Although the veteran receiver, who came into the NFL in 2008, isn't young as he used to be, he could still find ways to help a Ravens offense that lost 24-20' Sunday vs. the New York Giants without their crucial pass-catcher Rashod Bateman (foot injury).

Jackson, three-time Pro-Bowler, was last seen on the football field when he split time with both the Las Vegas Raiders and Los Angeles Rams in 2021 where he caught 20 receptions for 454 yards and two touchdowns.
