Jets Not Committed To Starting QB Ahead Of Week 12

The New York Jets suffered a devastating loss in Week 11, but after mustering 3 points and less than 25 yards of offence in the second half, it was a game they lost on the back of their own play, despite an elite performance from this defence, who also only allowed just 3 points in the game.

Following the game, reports began surfacing of Zach Wilson losing the locker room not only because of his play and because of his post-game press conference, and now, there's a chance that he could lose his starting job as soon as Week 12 against the Chicago Bears. When Head Coach Robert Saleh was asked today about the QB situation going forward, and for the first time in the Wilson era, he wouldn't commit to No. 2 as the starter, so it seems the Jets have a QB competition ahead of Week 12.

Mike White, Joe Flacco and Chris Streveler are the other 3 QB's on the Jets roster, and while Flacco is the most likely option, he's been inactive in the past 3 weeks, meaning that Mike White is the biggest threat to Wilson. Because Saleh said he wouldn't commit to Wilson, it doesn't mean that he's lost the job, but unless he comes out in practice this week on fire, there's a very good chance that this Jets team could have a new QB when they battle the Bears in Week 12.
