Falcons Activate Running Back From Injured Reserve

The Atlanta Falcons are off to a fantastic start in 2022, with a 4-4 record through 8 weeks that surprisingly has them sitting in sole possession of first place in the NFC South, and after some bad news yesterday that star cornerback A.J. Terrell will be out in Week 8, they countered that with some good news today, as electric running back Cordarrelle Patterson has been activated off Injured Reserve, meaning he will be active as they take on the Chargers in Week 9.

Coming off of a career year with Atlanta in 2021, Patterson was off to another fantastic start in 2022, but a knee injury cost him the teams previous four games, and after not giving up any ground in the NFC South divisional race, he's back to help an offence that's been fantastic all season long.

With the emergence of Tyler Algeheir and potentially the breakout of Kyle Pitts that the whole NFL world has been waiting for, adding in another weapon in Patterson makes this team even more dangerous, and if they can take down the Chargers in Week 9, there's no reason why this team can't kick on and take care of the NFC South for the rest of the 2022 season.
