Cowboys Wide Receiver Won't Return From IR This Week

The Dallas Cowboys have been right in the middle of the rumour mill as of late for a certain star wide receiver, meaning the potential return of one of their own has flown under the radar, with former Pittsburgh Steeler James Washington slated to come off Injured Reserve anytime soon.

In four years with the Steelers, Washington racked up over 1,600 receiving yards to go along with 11 Touchdowns, and he joined the Cowboys this past off-season to pair up with Michael Gallup and CeeDee Lamb in this receiver group. Unfortunately, the 26-year old suffered a foot injury in the pre-season, and was placed on Injured Reserve back in August, and while he's not too far from recovering, he won't be activated this week.

Whether or not the Cowboys end up securing the signature of Odell Beckham, their offence is going to improve immensely over the coming weeks, but unfortunately for Washington and the team, they won't be getting that boost this week ahead of a matchup with the Green Bay Packers.
