NFL Rumors: Bears Fear Significant Injury To Star Safety

Not great news out of Chicago.

The Chicago Bears fear standout safety Eddie Jackson suffered a Lisfranic injury during Sunday's loss to the New York Jets.

#Bears standout S Eddie Jackson suffered what appears to be a significant Lisfranc injury in Sunday’s game against the #Jets, sources tell me and @RapSheet. Jackson is still receiving opinions on his foot, but he’s considered out indefinitely. Another tough loss for Chicago.

Jackson was carted to the locker room after going down on the field during Sunday's loss, and he's now considered out indefinitely while undergoing more tests.

If it is indeed a Lisfranic injury, Jackson's 2022 season could very well be over. 

In 12 games this season, the twenty-eight-year-old has 80 total tackles, two forced fumbles, four interceptions and six passes defended. 

As long as Jackson remains sidelined, Elijah Hicks will take on an increased workload in Week 13's matchup against the Green Bay Packers.
