NFL Rumors: Steelers Running Back To Get Increased Role Going Forward

The Pittsburgh Steelers have struggled mightily from the outset in 2022, and have since turned to rookie Quarterback Kenny Pickett, and have moved on from Chase Claypool in favour of George Pickens, and now, according to reports, they could be doing the same at the running back position.

Pittsburgh believed they'd have a star running back on their hands with Najee Harris, who exploded in his rookie campaign a year ago, but as fantasy owners know well, he has been off to a very poor start thus far in 2022, and it could lead to him losing his carries. Jaylen Warren, an un-drafted back out of Oklahoma State has now shown that he's a big play threat, and is threatening to take carries away from Harris.

He's got just over 200 all-purpose yards just far in his NFL career, but Harris has clearly struggled to make smart plays in big moments, and when asked about it, Mike Tomlin was clear that Warren will get every chance to become the lead back, and going forward, we will see how this plays out.
