Thompson reportedly suffered a concussion during Sunday's loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, and it appears he was not able to clear the league's concussion protocols in time for this weekend.
The twenty-four-year-old has played almost exclusively on special teams this season, recording four total tackles over five games. Regardless, his absence will be missed, as there was a good chance he was going to get more involved this week with the Titans dealing with lots of defensive injuries.
