Saints Place Wide Receiver On Injured Reserve

His season is over.

The New Orleans Saints have placed wide receiver Jarvis Landry on the injured reserve.

The move ends Landry's season, unless the Saints make it to the divisional round of the playoffs. However, his injury will have to be as minor as possible if he was to have any chance of suiting up for that potential game.

Landry had already missed five straight games this season with an ankle issue, so this may very well be a setback in that same injury after the veteran wideout made five straight starts.

The thirty-year-old will end his season with 25 receptions for 272 yards and one touchdown on 39 targets over nine games.

The Saints are now left with Rashid Shaheed, Tre'Quan Smith and Marquez Callaway as their only healthy wideouts for Saturday's game.
