Chicago Bears Set Franchise Record In 2022/23

The Chicago Bears sealed the No. 1 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft with a loss to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 18, combined with the Houston Texans shocking win over the Indianapolis Colts, but with that pick, plenty of cap room and some young talent to build around, this could be a team to watch going forward.

One big reason that Bears fans should be full of confidence is their running game, as they set a franchise record for rushing yards in a single season in 2022/23, led by the breakout year of Justin Fields, as well as the consistent backfield pairing of David Montgomery and Khalil Herbert.

If they are to turn it around, they'll need much more than a run game in 2023, but for now, it's a start and a massive positive for a team that struggled to win games this season, and if Fields can replicate the success of 2022 next year, this could be a sneaky candidate for the playoffs in 2023.
