Star Georgia Defensive Lineman Declares for NFL Draft

The NFL will have yet another star defensive player from the Georgia Bulldogs in 2023. Following his team's 65-7 dismantling of the TCU Horned Frogs in the College Football Championship, defensive lineman Jalen Carter has declared for the NFL Draft. Carter has appeared in 27 games for the Bulldogs over the past two seasons, logging 6.0 sacks, 18.5 tackles for a loss, and winning a pair of national titles. He is projected to be a top-five pick in the 2023 NFL Draft and may be the most coveted player for any team who misses out on a quarterback or isn't in need of one. The Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals could make sense.

Carter will be yet another elite defensive prospect from a Georgia team that has flooded the NFL with talent in recent times. Five defenders from last year's championship squad were drafted in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, including first-overall pick Travon Walker.
