Atlanta Falcons Tight End Pitts Advancing in Recovery

The Atlanta Falcons should have their premier young tight end back in the fold for offseason activities. According to tight ends coach Justin Peele, Kyle Pitts is "on schedule" in his recovery/rehab from a November knee injury.

Pitts tore his MCL in a Week 11 27-24 win over the Chicago Bears. He ended his second season in the NFL with 356 receiving yards and an underwhelming 6.0 yards per target across 10 starts.

Pitts' sophomore year was a disappointment, but he remains perhaps the most promising young tight end in the league. He still has the incredible physical tools and movement skills that allowed him to accumulate an excellent 1026 receiving yards as a rookie. If the Falcons can ever sort out their quarterback situation, he'll eventually re-emerge as a star. Still only 22 years old, he likely has many Pro Bowls in his future.
