Carolina Panthers Rumors: Free-Agent QB On Team's Radar

The Carolina Panthers are heading into the offseason with questions regarding the quarterback position. It appears that they are considering the prospect of upgrading at the position because of this, as they are one of the teams being linked to free-agent QB Derek Carr.

Carr's tenure with the Las Vegas Raiders ended in a truly rocky fashion, and now he is seeking a fresh start because of it. The 31-year-old put together another strong season in 2022, as threw 24 touchdowns, 3,522 yards, and completed 60.8% of his passes. Yet, that was not enough for him to avoid being benched during the final weeks of the season. Yes, the Raiders benched a Pro Bowl quarterback.

There is no question that Carr would be a major addition to the Panthers' roster as they aim to put up a big season in 2023. The NFC South is looking like anyone's division, so if Carolina makes a big splash by bringing in Carr, they could become the potential favorites in it next season. Alas, let's see if they land him from here.
