New York Jets Rumors: Veteran WR Becoming Free-Agent Target

The New York Jets are aiming to make plenty of moves this offseason to try to compete with the very deep AFC East division. One specific area that they are hoping to improve upon is the wide receiver position, and they reportedly are considering signing veteran wide receiver Sterling Shepard because of it.

The New York Giants recently let Shepard walk straight into free agency, and there is no question that he is an intriguing option. He has shown in the past that he can be a very effective wide receiver, so he is exactly the kind of player worth taking a shot on. If he can stay healthy, he could become another solid option for the Jets in 2023.

Shepard was limited to only three games this season with the Giants, where he had one touchdown, 154 receiving yards, and 13 receptions. Overall, he was solid when available, so let's see if that is enough for him to become a Jet for next season from here.
