NFL Rumors: Pittsburgh Steelers Looking To Keep Veteran QB

The Pittsburgh Steelers may have waited a few weeks to make it official, but they finally found their starting Quarterback of the future in Kenny Pickett, who eventually took over from veteran Mitch Trubisky as the starter in 2022.

That would lead many to believe that the former Bears No. 2 overall pick would be on the way out this off-season, but over the past few days, there's been a growing belief that the Steelers will look to keep him this off-season as one of the best backup QB's in the entire NFL.

He may not be a starting Quarterback in the league anymore, but he's shown over the years that he'll be a serviceable backup, and while this stance from Pittsburgh can change, as he's owed over $10 million in 2023, it appears for now that they like the insurance policy.
