Cardinals Sign CB Fenton

The Arizona Cardinals announced on Thursday that they have signed cornerback Rashad Fenton to a one-year deal.

Fenton previously played for the eventual Super Bowl champion Chiefs last season before ultimately being dealt to the Falcons on November 2022 in exchange for a conditional seventh-round selection in the 2023 draft.

The former sixth-rounder by the Chiefs in 2019 still holds his first championship ring after his previous club defeated the 49ers in 2019, and will qualify for another one after Kansas City's recent victory over the Eagles last year.

Arizona will be looking at Fenton for help on their defensive backfield next season after their No. 1 corner Byron Murphy left their squad as a free agent this past offseason. Fenton joins the Cardinals defensive depth chart with the likes of Marco Wilson, Antonio Hamilton, and 2022 draft pick Christian Matthew.

Fenton has appeared in 49 games with 17 starts in his brief career recording 127 combined tackles, 20 passes defended against, and two interceptions.
