The Carolina Panthers were one of the many teams linked to Derek Carr, but the veteran QB has chosen the New Orleans Saints as his next destination. Now, the Panthers are going to need to consider their options elsewhere as they aim to upgrade at the QB position. Here are three options for them.

Jimmy Garoppolo: With Carr off the market, Jimmy Garoppolo is now the biggest QB free agent. Naturally, it is fair to assume that the Panthers are going to consider him as an option now. He would provide them with a solid QB1 as they head into the 2023 season. Keep in mind, he still managed to have a good 2022 campaign even with all of the trade rumors and controversy in San Francisco.

Aaron Rodgers: The Panthers could try to hit a home run and acquire future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers from the Green Bay Packers. Although the Packers star QB is generating interest from multiple teams around the league, it does not seem too out of the question for the Panthers to join the sweepstakes as well.

Mac Jones: There have been rumblings that the New England Patriots are willing to move Mac Jones for a big return. On paper, he could be the best match for Carolina, as he is a young QB who would be a long-term option for them at QB1.
