New Orleans Saints Sign Safety; Won Super Bowl With Chiefs

The New Orleans Saints have signed safety Ugo Amadi to their 90-man offseason roster.

Amadi, who played for the Seattle Seahawks in his first three NFL seasons, was drafted out of Oregon in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He appeared in 47 games and made 12 starts for the Seahawks, recording 125 tackles, one interception, two forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery.

This past season, Amadi split his limited active time between the Tennessee Titans and Kansas City Chiefs. He played in two games for the Titans, recording five tackles, before being picked up by the Chiefs' practice squad. He was active for the team's win at Jacksonville on November 13, contributing one coverage stop.

Becoming a free agent when he did not sign a future deal with the Chiefs, Amadi signed with the Saints to join their 90-man offseason roster. The 25-year-old safety will look to make an impact for the Saints as they prepare for the upcoming season.

He was a member of the Super Bowl-winning Chiefs this year.
