New York Jets Re-Sign Young Running Back

On Thursday, all the talk around the New York Jets and the running back position is the interest shown by Ezekiel Elliott to join this rising team, but under the radar, the team brought back one of it's most experienced backfield players on a one-year deal.

The team have announced the re-signing of Ty Johnson, and while he has definitely slipped down the depth chart with the emergence of Breece Hall, Michael Carter and Zonovan Knight, he can still be very effective when needed.

In four years at the NFL level with very little starting opportunities, Johnson has racked up 925 rushing yards and 668 receiving yards to go along with 7 total Touchdowns, so to secure depth like this is a solid move for New York.
