NFL Commissioner To Get Contract Extension

The NFL has been one of, if not the fastest growing sports business in the history of North American sports, and while he deservedly takes a lot of criticism, Commissioner Roger Goodell is no doubt a huge part of that success.

With his contract coming to an end soon, it comes as absolutely no surprise then that the NFL owners are expected to finalize a multi-year contract extension for him next week when the owners meetings in Phoenix commence.

Given the success of the NFL, it's hard to criticize Goodell too much, and if he can continue doing that and improve the league in other ways, then this contract extension is certainly well deserved.
