New York Jets Star Reveals How Close Veteran Receiver Was To Joining Team

All off-season long, NFL fans have dealt with the Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets rumours, and unsurprisingly, that brought with it the rumours that several big name veterans could follow the four-time MVP to the Big Apple.

Ultimately though, the biggest link in Odell Beckham ended up heading to Baltimore to pair up with Lamar Jackson and Mark Andrews, with an offer significantly higher than the Jets were willing to go, and now Sauce Gardner has revealed just how close OBJ was to being a Jet.

According to Gardner, OBJ was at the point of picking his jersey number until Baltimore called with an offer likely twice as high as New York were willing to go, and instead, they landed the combination of Randall Cobb, Mecole Hardman and Allen Lazard to pair with Garrett Wilson and Corey Davis.
