NFL Trade Rumors: NFL Reveals Full Schedule Release Date

The date for one of the last major checkpoints of the NFL offseason has been revealed. According to the Sports Business Journal's Ben Fisher, the NFL has informed teams the full schedule for the 2024 season will be released on May 15th.

The date for the schedule reveal is later than typical for the NFL, but exec Hans Schroeder did not mention any reason for a delay in the memo sent to teams.

The slate of games played by each team is clear as soon as the previous season is finished. Every year, a team faces its own division opponents twice, an AFC division, and an NFC division. The final three games are based on seeding and conference standings.

This year, the AFC East will play the AFC South and the NFC West. The AFC North will play the AFC West and the NFC East. The AFC South will play the AFC East and the NFC North. The AFC West will play the AFC North and the NFC South.

Conversely, the NFC East will play the AFC North and the NFC South. The NFC North will play the AFC South and the NFC West. The NFC South will play the AFC West and the NFC East. The NFC West will play the AFC East and the NFC North.

So, come next Wednesday, NFL teams will finally know when precisely they play who, including which games will take place on Monday Night Football, Sunday Night Football, and Thursday Night Football. More importantly, fans will finally know what dates on their calendars to circle.
