The Las Vegas Raiders are dealing with a storm after Jakobi Meyers officially requested a trade when contract talks broke down.
The 28-year-old receiver is coming off a career-best 87-catch, 1,027-yard season, yet enters the final year of his deal making just $10.5 million, well below what he’s seeking on an extension. While the Raiders insist they don’t plan to move him, several teams could be tempted to make a deal for a reliable, versatile wideout.
Patriots reunion could be on the table
The New England Patriots make as much sense as anyone. Meyers spent the first four years of his career in Foxboro and developed strong chemistry with Josh McDaniels, who is now back with the team as offensive coordinator. With Drake Maye entering his second season, adding a proven possession receiver alongside Stefon Diggs would give New England the depth it needs.
Meyers knows the system, has chemistry with the coaching staff, and could slot in immediately as a steady WR2.

Steelers need another weapon for Rodgers
The Pittsburgh Steelers are also a logical landing spot. They already made a splash by trading for DK Metcalf, but the rest of the receiver room remains thin. Adding Meyers would give Aaron Rodgers a dependable second option who thrives on tough catches and moving the chains. Pittsburgh has cap space and playoff aspirations, making this a move that would balance out their offense and ease pressure off Metcalf in big moments.

The Minnesota Vikings have Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison, but Addison’s early-season suspension and Jefferson’s recent hamstring issue raise questions about depth. Meyers would give rookie quarterback J.J. McCarthy a trustworthy target who can work both inside and outside, while complementing Jefferson’s star power.
