NFL Rumors: AFC Team Interested in Stefon Diggs

New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs reacts during 2026 game.

Stefon Diggs is still sitting there in free agency, which feels a little strange considering he just came off a 1,000-yard season with the New England Patriots

But the market hasn’t exactly rushed to meet him, and now the Tennessee Titans are starting to look like one of the more realistic landing spots.

Titans Emerging as Real Option for Stefon Diggs

Titans' second-year quarterback Cam Ward needs help, plain and simple, and adding a proven receiver like Diggs could go a long way toward stabilizing an offense that struggled to find consistency last season.

There’s also some familiarity here.

Offensive coordinator Brian Daboll has worked with Diggs before during their time with the Buffalo Bills, and that kind of connection definitely could come into play when teams are weighing short-term veteran additions.

Diggs may not be the explosive, game-breaking version of himself from a few years ago, but he’s still a reliable target who can move the chains and elevate a young quarterback.

Stefon Diggs Market Still Has Questions

What’s weird is how quiet things have been overall.

Diggs posted 85 catches for 1,013 yards and four touchdowns last season, helping push the Patriots all the way to a Super Bowl appearance.

That’s not the profile of a player who should be waiting around this long, but there are factors at play.

He’s now 32, coming off a previous ACL injury, and there are still some off-field questions lingering.

Teams are obviously not just looking at the stat line, but what he brings off the field as well. That’s likely why this is shaping up to be more of a short-term deal situation rather than a bidding war.

For the Titans, though, they don’t need Diggs to be a top-five receiver in the league. They just need him to be the best option Cam Ward has had so far.
