3 Trade Destinations for Dolphins' De'Von Achane
Seattle Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks feel like the best fit.
Seattle has been tied to running back questions after losing Kenneth Walker, and Achane would give them an instant home-run threat for an offense that still needs to make life easier on its quarterback.
He would add a receiving dimension that can tilt coverages and create matchup problems out of the backfield.
The issue, naturally, is cost.
The #Dolphins converted $4.6M of RB Devon Achane's salary into signing bonus, adding 4 void years, clearing $3.6M of cap space.

Miami also converted $5.25M of Aaron Brewer's salary into bonus, clearing $4.2M of space.
Seattle is not exactly swimming in draft capital, and Achane is heading into a contract year, which means any trade probably comes with extension talk attached.
Still, if the Dolphins ever put him on the table, the Seahawks would have every reason to be aggressive.
Green Bay Packers
The Green Bay Packers make a ton of sense for a different reason.
There is already a relationship angle here with Miami’s new decision-makers having Green Bay ties, and Achane would fit beautifully in a backfield that could use a longer-term succession plan behind Josh Jacobs.
He is only 24, he is one of the league’s most explosive backs, and pairing him with Jacobs would give Green Bay a nasty thunder-and-lightning setup right away.

And they have a need at wide receiver
Can I interest Mr. Hafley in Jayden Reed and a 4th for Mr. Devon Achane
You get another Packer to go with your minor league team, we get a dynamic running back to pair with Jacobs
Everyone wins!!!
The Packers could ease Achane in, then potentially hand him a bigger share of the offense down the road.
The question is whether Green Bay would be willing to meet Miami’s likely asking price for a player coming off a Pro Bowl season and entering his prime.
Minnesota Vikings
The Minnesota Vikings are the most intriguing schematic fit.
Achane’s speed and pass-game value would play well in an offense that already features Justin Jefferson, and adding a back who can create chunk plays without needing perfect blocking would be a pretty obvious way to stress defenses.
Aaron Jones is still there, but he is in his 30s, and Achane would give Minnesota a much more dynamic long-term answer in the backfield.
There is also some built-in familiarity on the staff side, which is something to note when you are talking about maximizing a player whose biggest strength is his ability to be moved around and weaponized in space.
If the Vikings decide they want to keep pressing in the NFC rather than patching things together year to year, this is exactly the type of swing they could justify.
