Green Bay Packers Linked to 8X Pro Bowler
The Green Bay Packers will certainly be a team to keep a close eye on for the remainder of the offseason. When looking at their roster, it is clear that they still have some areas that they should be looking to upgrade before the season is here.
One specific area that the Packers should be looking to boost is their defense, and they are now being linked to one of the most notable free agents who is still available for the taking.
In a recent article for CBS Sports, Garrett Podell named the Packers as the "ideal landing spot" for eight-time Pro Bowler Von Miller.
"Miller makes plenty of sense on the Packers, given Micah Parsons' situation. Parsons is recovering from a torn ACL. Miller would be an ideal addition to hold down the fort at the edge rusher spot opposite former first-round pick Lukas Van Ness until Parsons gets back," Podell wrote.
When looking at the Packers' current group, it is certainly fair to argue that they could use a veteran like Miller. He would give them another high-impact player to work with and would also offer them a veteran who could help mentor the Packers' younger players.
Miller is also still an impactful player at this stage of his career, and the truth is in his stats from this past season. In 17 games with the Washington Commanders, he had 9.0 sacks and 26 combined tackles. With numbers like these, he would be a solid pickup for the Packers if signed.
