NFL Rumors: Cowboys 3X Pro Bowler Emerging As Trade Candidate

KaVontae Turpin, Dallas Cowboys

The 2025 season was certainly disappointing for the Dallas Cowboys. After entering the campaign with the hope of bouncing back, the Cowboys instead finished the season with a 7-9-1 record and missed the playoffs.

With how this past season went for the Cowboys, it is no secret that they should be looking to continue to make changes to their roster. Due to this, one of their notable players has officially entered the rumor mill.

In a recent article for Cowboys Wire, Reid D. Hanson named Dallas wide receiver KaVontae Turpin as a trade candidate to watch as the offseason carries on.

"Even coming off a down year, Turpin is highly valued around the NFL. His game-breaking speed is unmistakable and with a contract that runs through 2027, he should garner a pretty decent return from a team looking for juice," Hanson wrote.

If the Cowboys want to improve their roster elsewhere, Turpin certainly has the potential to be a good trade chip for Dallas to dangle. The 5-foot-9 receiver just made his third Pro Bowl this past season, so there is no question that he should generate interest if made available.

However, trading Turpin would come with some risk for the Cowboys, as they would be losing a key part of their roster. However, if Turpin can be used to land an impactful player elsewhere, it could be an avenue for the Cowboys to explore.
