Cardinals Set High Trade Asking Price For Josh Sweat

The Arizona Cardinals are believed to have a high asking price for pass rusher Josh Sweat and have given the impression they’re fine keeping him, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz.

Schultz reported multiple teams would have interest in Sweat, and that the belief around the NFL is he’d be open to a trade, as he has been since the offseason.

High Price, No Rush

Schultz wrote it’s up to Arizona whether it ultimately decides to deal him, and the Cardinals did rebuff trade interest in Sweat over the summer.

Sweat said after Week 1 that he wanted to be in Arizona, and the 3-5 Cardinals beat Dallas 33-30 in overtime Sunday with Sweat recording a sack.

Arizona is believed to be seeking a high Day 2 pick in a trade.

The Market

Sweat signed a four-year, $76.4 million contract with $41 million guaranteed last offseason, and had 12 sacks in 2025. He's 29 years old.

He has three sacks and four tackles for loss in eight games this season.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the Cowboys are a team to watch, and Chicago and San Francisco were mentioned in earlier reporting.
