Report: Multiple Teams Pursuing Titans' Tony Pollard

Multiple teams are interested in Tennessee Titans running back Tony Pollard, but general manager Mike Borgonzi has declined to engage in trade conversations so far, according to Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio.

Florio wrote it remains to be seen whether that changes before the November 10 deadline.

Why Teams Want Him

Pollard is 29 and has rushed for 246 yards and five touchdowns over his last two games, and he has 595 yards through eight games.

He has four straight 1,000-yard seasons, including a career-high 1,082 last year, and is on pace for a fifth.

He's an attractive option for any contender looking for backfield help and his contract is affordable relative to the veteran market.

Pollard is in the final year of his deal and has about $3.32 million left on his 2026 salary.

Florio also pointed out that with multiple teams linked to Jonathan Taylor and the Colts not yet close to a price that gets a deal done, Pollard could become a much more affordable Plan B.

Tennessee’s Stance

The Titans told teams for weeks that Jeffery Simmons wouldn’t be traded and then listened on him and sent him to Chicago last week.

Tom Pelissero reported earlier this month that Borgonzi has told callers Pollard isn’t available, with the Titans valuing his leadership and the benefit to quarterback Cam Ward.

ESPN’s Dan Graziano wrote Pollard is more likely to be traded than Taylor or Saquon Barkley, and Schefter had named him as a deadline candidate.

With the Titans not expected to be playoff contenders and Pollard in the final year of his deal, it would make a ton of sense for them to see what they could get for the veteran running back from desperate teams.
