49ers General Manger Has Glowing Praise For Young Wide Receiver

The majority of the San Francisco 49ers off-season was about Deebo Samuel, and whether the young standout wide receiver would return to the team in 2022, and even after asking for a trade, the two sides came together and negotiated a deal that keeps the offensive weapon in San Francisco for a few years yet. While he's still on the team, it's third year wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk that has been turning heads, and many within the organization, but specifically General Manager John Lynch expect him to do big things in 2022.

In his first two seasons, Aiyuk has put up over 1,600 yards with 12 Touchdown's, while mostly flying under the radar due to the likes of Deebo Samuel and George Kittle making waves in this offence. The 49ers are going with Trey Lance in 2022 as well, and with such a big arm and so many weapons around, it feels like the time is right for a true breakout season from Aiyuk, who could establish himself among the other top receivers from his class.

"I know it's going to be Brandon's year because of the work he's put in and because, you know, when a guy is just doing it every day, that translates to the field, and it translates to game time." The chemistry that he's managed to build with Lance will play a big part in his success in 2022, and if the main names on this offensive unit can stay healthy, we could be looking at an offence that while under the radar, could become one of the best in the NFL.

The Los Angeles Rams are expected to take out the NFC West in 2022, but if the 49ers can sneak into the playoffs, with a confident young QB in Lance along with all these weapons, there's no reason why San Francisco can't make a deep run in 2022.
