NFL Rumors: Three Major Stars Should Play for Browns on Thursday Night Football

The Cleveland Browns just received some excellent news ahead of their crucial Week 3 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. ESPN's Jake Trotter announced that defensive end Myles Garrett and offensive tackle Jack Conklin would be ready to go for this week's Thursday Night Football game: Trotter later added that guard Joel Bitonio would play as well. The availability of the three players should come as a huge relief for the Browns, especially as far as their defense is concerned. Had Garrett been unavailable for Week 3 as initially projected, the team might have been without its top three defensive ends. With arguably their best player back in the fold, the Browns can expect to cause huge problems for a Steelers offense that ranks 30th in the league in yards gained through two weeks.

The Browns offense should also be vastly improved with the return of Conklin, who hasn't played since suffering a season-ending knee injury in Week 12 of 2021. The eighth overall pick of the 2016 NFL Draft and a two-time All-Pro, the tackle is an established stud on the right side of the offensive line and should help a Browns run game that has already been stellar this year. Cleveland leads the league with 404 yards rushing through two weeks, and their 5.3 yards per rushing attempt ranks fourth.
